How it all began...
Ikkle Dragon is the my creative online hub! It started as a home for my crocheted creations and seems to be expanding at a steady pace!
My love of crochet began as a child but was re-ignited around 4 years ago when I received an Amigurumi book as a Christmas present. These cute little crochet creations are so much fun to make and so quick to do. I quickly began to realise that the patterns are just basic maths and with a bit of tinkering, patience and a lot of ‘starting again’ it’s not that hard to design a simple Amigurumi animal. And so my first little friend was developed - the ikkle green dragon!

After that, I was on a roll. Mermaids, seahorses, daffodils, princesses in towers, toadstools and a huge range of Christmas decorations - you can pretty much crochet anything! I've been lucky enough to have some of my patterns published in craft magazine and started to create a range of crochet kits. My love of crafts doesn't stop at crochet. Rag rug making is becoming a new favourite and on a massively different scale to Amigurumi creatures! It’s amazing to choose a design, scale it up on a piece of Hessian and start proggying! Ok, it takes a lot longer to make a rug but it’s just as addictive! I'm keen to share my creations and skills in as many ways as possible as you can see on this site. From downloadable PDF patterns to apps for smart phones, from craft kits to classes, hopefully there’s something for everyone! My missions is to provide high quality and inspiring creative activities for crafty people of all ages. Enjoy! Christina Thomas |
